What's inside: Cold Brew Concentrate

Each mark on the ruler is where a layer starts, drawn to this recipe's proportions.

Cold Brew Concentrate

Coarse coffee steeped in cold water for 12–18 hours, then filtered. Smooth, sweet and low in acidity, and it keeps for about a week — the base for quick iced drinks.

Best with beans that taste

ChocolatyNuttyCaramel & sweet

Why: Cold water pulls sweetness and body but little acidity, so chocolaty, nutty and caramel beans taste smooth and dessert-like. Bright fruity beans can taste flat cold-brewed.
